Safety Guidelines

Last updated: July 13, 2026

These guidelines help users reduce risk when buying, selling, renting, requesting spare parts, contacting businesses, making payments, or communicating with other AutoPaddle users.

1 Before contacting a seller or provider

Treat every marketplace interaction as something you must verify independently.

  • Check the profile, listing age, contact details, price, photos, location, verification signals, and whether the story sounds consistent.
  • Be careful with urgency, pressure to pay quickly, refusal to meet, refusal to share documents, or requests to move to unusual communication channels.

2 Vehicle buyers and sellers

Vehicle transactions require document checks and physical inspection.

  • Inspect the vehicle in person at a safe public location and bring a trusted mechanic or knowledgeable person.
  • Verify the CR book, revenue licence, chassis number, engine number, service records, ownership, finance status, accident history, and transfer requirements.
  • Use written agreements and receipts for deposits, reservations, handovers, or final payment.

3 Rentals and rental companies

Rental users should confirm the exact rental terms before paying or collecting a vehicle.

  • Confirm daily or monthly rate, deposit, insurance, mileage limits, driver requirements, late fees, damage responsibility, pickup location, return process, and cancellation terms.
  • Inspect and photograph the vehicle before handover and after return.
  • Avoid paying large deposits before verifying the company, vehicle, and rental agreement.

4 Spare parts and business contacts

Spare-part replies and business profiles may involve stock, compatibility, delivery, and warranty claims that need verification.

  • Confirm part number, vehicle compatibility, condition, warranty, return terms, delivery method, seller identity, and payment instructions before paying.
  • For businesses and service providers, verify location, opening hours, qualifications, price estimates, and written job scope before handing over a vehicle or parts.

5 Payments and credentials

Protect your money and accounts during every interaction.

  • Never share OTPs, passwords, card numbers, PINs, banking credentials, verification links, or identity documents with anyone claiming to be AutoPaddle staff.
  • AutoPaddle does not operate escrow, vehicle delivery, guaranteed buyer programs, or off-platform payment collection for user-to-user transactions.
  • Prefer traceable payment methods and keep receipts, agreements, chat records, call logs, and screenshots.

6 Impersonation and scam warning signs

Scammers often imitate trusted brands, staff, banks, couriers, dealerships, or buyers.

  • Be cautious of unusually low prices, remote-only deals, fake payment confirmations, fake escrow links, courier stories, overpayment requests, urgent deadlines, and requests to refund money you have not actually received.
  • Check that payment pages, emails, and links are legitimate before entering any information.

7 If something goes wrong

Move quickly if you suspect fraud or unsafe conduct.

  • Stop communication, preserve evidence, report the content on AutoPaddle, and contact support with links and screenshots.
  • If money or credentials are involved, contact your bank, card issuer, payment provider, mobile provider, or relevant authorities immediately.
